Help shape the daily experience of one of Geraldton’s most connected workspaces.

We are looking for Community Hosts to help shape the daily experience of City Hive — our co-working and innovation space in the heart of Geraldton.

City Hive is home to a growing mix of start-ups, business owners, remote workers, solo-preneurs, freelancers, entrepreneurs, creatives, professionals, community leaders and people building new ideas.

It’s more than just a workspace — it’s a place where people connect, collaborate, work, host events, and grow businesses.

We’re looking for people who genuinely enjoy creating welcoming spaces, connecting people, helping things run smoothly behind the scenes, and bringing energy to a community environment.

This is not a traditional “reception/admin” role.

It’s a people-focused role centred around hospitality, atmosphere, organisation, communication and community experience.

About the Role

As a Community Host, you’ll help shape the day-to-day experience of City Hive for members, guests, event attendees and visitors.

Some days might involve welcoming members, giving tours and helping new people settle into the space. Other days could include coordinating meeting room bookings, supporting events, creating social media content, updating signage, helping with workspace presentation, or assisting with community and marketing activities.

No two days are exactly the same — and that’s part of what makes the role interesting.

We’re looking for people who are:

  • warm, welcoming and proactive

  • calm under pressure

  • highly organised and systems oriented

  • comfortable communicating with a wide range of people

  • confident using digital tools and social platforms

  • able to work independently and take initiative

  • energised by community, hospitality and creating positive experiences

People with backgrounds in hospitality, events, customer experience, tourism, marketing, creative industries, administration, startups or community-focused roles are strongly encouraged to apply.

Pollinators is a regional innovation organisation focused on entrepreneurship, collaboration, ideas and community-led growth in the Midwest.

City Hive is part of that ecosystem — a flexible co-working and innovation space designed to support connection, collaboration, business and new opportunities in Geraldton.

As Pollinators continues to evolve and grow, this role also has flexibility and room to evolve. We’re open to shaping the role around the strengths of the right person — or people.

Role Structure & Hours

We’re open to flexible role structures, including part-time arrangements or a larger combined role for the right candidate.

The space currently operates during standard weekday business hours, with occasional evening event support required.

Approximate pay range:
$30–$35/hour depending on experience.
