The conversation is with Sam Garven, a startup founder, Techstars alumna and the facilitator of Bold Moves.
Sam has first-hand experience of developing a startup, testing assumptions and making difficult decisions about what to do next.

A little backing.
$10 from every paid ticket contributes to a prize for one of the ideas pitched on the night.
A practical boost.
If 100 tickets sell, the prize will be $1,000. The final amount depends on ticket sales and will support a practical next step.
A few things you might wonder
Do I need to be in business?
No. Come because you’re curious about the ideas and interested in helping someone take a next step. You might run a business, work in one, volunteer, be taking a break or simply enjoy meeting people.
Do I need to bring an idea or make a presentation?
No. The women pitching will come from Traction Labs | Bold Moves, the separate daytime workshop. Evening guests listen, help choose which idea receives the prize and offer support.
What does the $100 ticket cover?
$100 per person, including substantial canapés and drinks. $10 from every ticket contributes to a prize for one of the ideas pitched on the night. There is no additional required contribution. The daytime Bold Moves workshop requires separate registration through Pollinators.
What is the format of the evening?
It’s a canapé-style gathering with time to mingle, hear pitches from the Bold Moves workshop and join an ask-me-anything with Sam. Contact Pollinators about venue, seating or accessibility requirements.
How will the prize be chosen?
Guests help choose which of the workshop participants’ ideas receives the prize, funded by $10 from each paid ticket. Contact Pollinators for selection details.
Is this an ongoing commitment?
This invitation is for one evening. There is no membership or ongoing financial commitment.
What happens after the evening?
Pollinators plans to connect the women developing ideas with guests who offer support, and share a short update on the prize recipient’s next step. If the sprint interests you, contact Pollinators about taking part in Bold Moves or future Traction programmes.
